Forestville, established as its own village in 1833, sits in the southeast; Chippens Hill rises in the northwest, Edgewood lies to the northeast, and Cedar Lake anchors the southwest, with the commercial center in the middle. Those neighborhoods give residents a strong sense of which part of Bristol they call home.
